Economics – the Production Line Theory of Redistribution of Wealth
Politicians and economists have a very simplistic view of economic activity. They analyse economic activity between manufacturing and services. This is confusing. Many services are provided to consumers. Others are provided to manufacturers or suppliers of services to consumers.
We all know what manufactured goods are. Services however are a bit harder to classify. Medical and educational services are provided to consumers. However retailing – a large part of any economy – is not a service. It is part of the production line that leads to the consumer.
Banking services are either not wealth productive at all or to the extent that they finance new goods or trade they are part of the end product that is sold to the consumer.
